Am I right?? We have a fire pit in our backyard for this exact reason! Cold nights and warm, a campfire is always a good time. Its a debate in my house on whats the best part of a campfire though; stories or snacks! Personally, mine is the stories. When you’re gathered around a fire the stories flow like water…some are real life stories and memories of good times, family and friends and other times its that super creepy story about haunted woods and old buildings that you’re just not sure if the story is real or fake. The imagination can be a fun and exciting thing to explore. So grab some friends (and adults of course) and build a camp fire…pitch some tents and get those stories flowing!
My niece is a fan of the snacks, the kid is an eating machine so anything food related, count her in. We all know the essential campfire snack is smores. Toasty marshmallows, melty chocolate…so good and messy! We use peanut butter cups instead of plain chocolate, because it is just amazing. She also loves grabbing a stick and putting a hot dog on it and roasting it over the fire..she always burns it but that’s part of the fun, right?! My mom would always make popcorn in a big hot cast iron skillet over the fire, yeah it takes longer than a microwave but its all about the experience right??
Don’t forget to put the fire out and make sure its watched at all times…and don’t forget the napkins and the tools you might need for Melbourne Raccoon Trapping Services!
